The Sparrow Road team has worked in sports media, collegiate athletics fundraising, sponsorship sales, athlete representation, brand management, and partnership development — across both the buy side and sell side of the industry.
We also bring the perspective of the athlete, with firsthand experience competing at the highest levels of college football and navigating recruiting, the transfer portal, NIL, and brand partnerships.
That breadth of experience has helped us build a powerful network and a unique understanding of how athletes, properties, and brands think — what each side values and how to bring the right people and ideas together.

Leadership
Dante Carnevale
Founder & Managing Partner
Dante Carnevale is a sports business entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience across business development, revenue generation, strategy, and brand growth.
Prior to founding Sparrow Road, Dante spent seven years as Chief Strategy Officer of MYOS CORP, parent company of the sports nutrition brand YOLKED, where he helped lead the company’s commercial strategy and growth initiatives through its successful acquisition in 2026.
Earlier in his career, Dante spent more than a decade in collegiate sports revenue generation, including business development and sales roles with IMG and several Division I athletic departments.
Dante is also an investor and entrepreneur across the sports landscape, with interests spanning youth sports, sporting goods, and premium apparel.
Johnny Buchanan
Co-Founder & Partner
Johnny Buchanan is a former All-American college football player, sports business entrepreneur, and athlete advisor focused on transfer portal advisory, NIL, brand partnerships, college recruiting, and athlete development.
Prior to co-founding Sparrow Road, Johnny was an All-American linebacker at the University of Delaware, where he experienced firsthand the modern athlete journey — from college recruiting and the transfer portal to NIL, brand partnerships, and competing at the highest levels of college football.
Today, Johnny brings that firsthand perspective to his work with athletes and their families, helping them navigate important decisions, evaluate opportunities, and build value both on and off the field.
